We sincerely appreciate the detailed coverage by Economic Daily News, which highlighted the successful conclusion of the "2026 World Kidney Day – Walking Together for Kidney Health" event co-organized by ProtectLife and the Kidney Disease Prevention Foundation. At ProtectLife, we firmly believe that "prevention is better than cure."
Through this event, we not only connected with the community through a healthy walking activity, but also aimed to share accurate kidney health knowledge with the public. As highlighted in the report, chronic kidney disease often presents no obvious symptoms in its early stages, making "regular screening" and "precise monitoring" especially important. ProtectLife has long been committed to developing faster and more accurate point-of-care testing (POCT) technologies, enabling individuals to better understand and manage their health data with greater convenience.
We are honored to transform our commitment to protecting life into meaningful actions that fulfill our social responsibility. We sincerely thank all participants and partners who joined this walk with us toward a healthier future. We warmly invite you to read the original report and continue raising awareness about kidney health together.

In response to World Kidney Day, the Kidney Disease Prevention Foundation partnered with ProtectLife to organize the "2026 World Kidney Day – Walking Together for Kidney Health" event, attracting enthusiastic participation from the public.
Combining physical activity with health education, the event aimed to raise awareness of chronic kidney disease prevention and the importance of regular health screening. In addition to the walking activity, health education booths were set up on-site, where healthcare professionals provided information on kidney health management, chronic disease risk factors, and preventive care. Through engaging and interactive activities, the event promoted health knowledge in an accessible way and encouraged participants to pay greater attention to their own health conditions. The organizers also reminded participants that the health information provided during the event is intended for personal health management reference only. Individual health conditions should still be further evaluated and diagnosed by qualified healthcare professionals.
According to the event statistics, nearly one hundred participants received health services during the event, with attendees ranging from young adults to older individuals, and a higher proportion of participants from middle-aged and senior groups. Some participants showed health indicators that may require further attention, particularly in urine-related assessments. Healthcare professionals noted that kidney disease often presents with few noticeable symptoms in its early stages. Regular health screenings can help identify potential risks earlier, while each health indicator provides different insights. Participants with abnormal results are encouraged to seek further evaluation from healthcare professionals.
As chronic kidney disease remains relatively prevalent in Taiwan, there is still room to improve public awareness and understanding of the condition. Through community-based health promotion activities that combine education and public engagement, we hope to enhance health literacy and encourage a mindset that emphasizes prevention over treatment.

In recent years, ProtectLife has continued to collaborate with organizations including the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS), the Beitou District Health Center, and the Taichung Medical Association to promote health initiatives and participate in community health promotion activities. These collaborations focus primarily on public health education and awareness, with the goal of improving access to health resources, enabling more people to receive reliable health information and develop healthier lifestyle habits.
Healthcare professionals remind the public to maintain regular exercise, a balanced diet, and healthy daily routines, while also paying attention to the management of chronic disease indicators such as blood pressure and blood glucose levels. If abnormalities are identified during health screenings, individuals are encouraged to seek medical advice promptly and receive further evaluation and recommendations from healthcare professionals to support long-term kidney health.
